Space radiation
Space radiation is high-energy, charged particles (protons, atomic nuclei) and electromagnetic waves (X-rays, gamma rays) from space, originating from the Sun (Solar Particle Events) or outside our solar system (Galactic Cosmic Rays), differing from Earth's radiation by being mostly ionizing and more intense, posing significant risks to astronauts and electronics, especially beyond Earth's protective magnetic field.
