🧠 Insight
The small, humanoid creatures people see in the woods are known as Pukwudgies in Wampanoag folklore, but they share many traits with similar beings in other cultures, such as gnomes, duendes, and little people. These legendary beings are often described as having a range of magical abilities and can be mischievous or even malicious. There are also similar creatures in other folklores like Duendes, Gnomes, Leshy, Little people, etc. What ever they are in right circumstances they could really be horror material and be able to give anyone a scare. But the fact that we don't know for certain who that was is what is the scariest thing about all this.
