🧠 Insight

I feel like the easiest answer here is that they don't know a different way other than violence. Since most of their lives is sprinkled with violence, as that is how they are able to survive in such harsh environments. But to think that they went on to do this to the people that proved to them that they are of no harm in any way or form to them. It is a possibility of that being a different tribe or the tribesmen not recognizing that those were the people that came with gifts. Also it could be the case that the gifts they brought and the gifts in general don't mean as much as it does to us. They are used to hunting and getting everything in their lives by themselves, so someone giving them things doesn't feel right if they don't do something for it. Their way of doing something could be tied to hunting so they went on to hunt those people after to make sense of those gifts.
