🤔 Reflection Question
What's the origin of water on Earth?

🧠 Insight
'Earth's water likely came from a combination of sources: water-rich asteroids and comets delivering it from the outer Solar System, and hydrogen already present in the planet's building blocks interacting with magma during early formation, with volcanic outgassing releasing some water to form oceans. While comets were once thought to be the primary source, recent evidence points more strongly towards primitive asteroids (carbonaceous chondrites) and internal sources, suggesting water was present from Earth's earliest days, not just added later.' What do you think was the origin of water? Multiple sources like the comets falling and volcanic eruptions and aftermath or was it just one source that then got mixed with other conditions on the planet which makes it seem like it came from multiple sources?
