'When Europeans first arrived in the Americas, an estimated 30 to 60 million bison roamed North America, particularly the Great Plains, forming vast herds that were central to the continent's ecosystem and Indigenous cultures, but this population was decimated to near extinction by the late 19th century due to westward expansion, hunting, and deliberate slaughter.'. It's crazy what happens when people start invading other places and continents. If somethings were done differently then we could have lost the bisons completely and that would be added to the extinct animals list.
