🧠 Insight
I never even thought that the temperature difference between a shadow and sunlit area in space would be so big. But it does make sense since in space there's nothing to reflect the sunlight or block it a bit keeping the heat to a sort of a happy medium. In space you are getting straight up the full energy of the Sun, however it does decrease with the distance. Also space station circling the Earth in 90 minutes is something I never did think about too and how the sun comes up ever 45 minutes for the astronauts there, which is just a shock to the system I must assume. It truly is a crazy life up there and now even more after learing these things about it.
