Research using GPS trackers shows that a typical Hadza member achieves the recommended weekly exercise quota of 150 minutes every single day, averaging 135 to 173 minutes of moderate-to-vigorous physical activity daily. This extreme activity level results in remarkable cardiovascular health; they show virtually no evidence of heart disease, low blood pressure, and VO2 max levels that deteriorate significantly less with age compared to Western populations. Even members in their 70s and 80s continue to log over two hours of high-intensity movement per day, maintaining walking speeds and physical capacity that barely decline over decades.
