🤔 Reflection Question
Could this theory be true?
Hit reply — I’d love to hear your take.
While the idea of a cold sun with inhabitants was famously proposed by astronomer William Herschel in the 18th century, modern science has proven this theory to be impossible. We now know the Sun is a 4.5 billion-year-old yellow dwarf star, essentially a massive, glowing ball of hydrogen and helium plasma held together by intense gravity. Its extreme heat is generated by nuclear fusion in the core, where temperatures reach a staggering 15 million degrees Celsius (27 million degrees Fahrenheit). This energy travels outward to the surface, which remains a scorching 5,500 degrees Celsius—hot enough to vaporize any known material, making it impossible for a solid surface or life to exist. Furthermore, the Sun's immense gravity would crush any biological organism, as its mass accounts for 99.8% of the entire solar system.
